All Stars Cricket

We are delighted to announce that we will be running the ECB All Stars Cricket programme for the first time during the 2023 season in addition to our normal junior training sessions.

Running during the May Half Term school holidays the All Stars programme is aimed at children aged 5 to 8 years old and will run for 2 hours a day from Tuesday the 30th May through to Friday the 2nd June. Each session will run from 10am until 12pm with our activator, our young overseas amateur Estiaan Schonfeldt.

The cost of the programme is £40 and each child that registers will receive a backpack full of goodies (details below) and it will also include junior membership at the club for the full year so it will enable your child to carry on their cricketing journey and attend our normal junior training sessions on a Friday Evening.

What Is All Stars?

All Stars Cricket provides a fantastic first experience for all children aged 5-8 years old where they’re guaranteed 8 hours of jam-packed fun, activity and skills development. The programme is designed to introduce children to the sport, teaching them new skills, helping them make new friends and have a great time doing so.

Every child that registers will receive a backpack full of goodies. Your child’s pack will include:

  • Backpack

  • Cricket bat

  • Cricket ball

  • Personalised t-shirt with your child’s name

All children returning to All Stars will receive a kit bag, a set of stumps, a new ball and a personalised t-shirt.

Why is All Stars Cricket Good For My Child?

All Stars Cricket will provide your child with all of the fundamental skills they need to play. Through lively, fun games, they will learn about cricket and be better prepared to take part in all sports. Over the eight-week programme, the trained activators will teach your child to:

  • Catch and throw a ball

  • Hit a moving ball

  • Bowl with a straight arm

  • Play a basic game of cricket

  • Work and communicate as a team

  • Have lots of fun with new friends

Can Parents And Guardians Be Involved?

All Stars Cricket is also fantastic for parents. All parents and guardians are invited to get involved and play cricket with their children. We know this is a great way to spend time with your child and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Parent activators (helpers) will support the fully accredited lead activator in delivering the session, supporting and encouraging children as they learn new skills. You do not need to be a cricket expert to be involved!
